All of our teachers at Paddle Nantucket abide by the belief that life is what we make it. We want to help you make it count: mind, body, sea.
Paddle Nantucket’s teachers share many common bonds. We all love living on the island of Nantucket, swimming in the ocean water, practicing yoga, traveling to distant places and filling our lives with adventure and creativity. We each hope to inspire you to be in the moment, enjoy our beautiful environment and meet your personal edge; physically, emotionally or spiritually.

Frances is a 500hr RYT with the Yoga Alliance. Her practice is based in Sadhana Hatha and Vinyasa yoga, which she studied through the SchoolYoga Institute in Nicaragua and Peru. She is motivated to share the ancient wisdom and healing powers of yoga with the Nantucket and global community. Frances views this sacred practice as a path to self-discovery, self-healing, and self-love, and as a divine tool to strengthen our connection to the universe, to Spirit, and to each other.
Being a part-time resident of Nantucket, she is also inspired by the incredible healing energy of the water and Mother Earth. Frances is a mermaid at heart and feels most comfortable in or near any large body of water. She is drawn to the strength yet peace the water grants.
Frances infuses her classes and offerings with many modalities including Thai Massage, Earth Medicine, Meditation, Vinyasa, Hatha, and Yin Yoga. She intends to hold space for her students to allow them to develop a deeper sense of balance and connection.
Frances believes in living a life a balance and adventure! She finds inspiration in experiencing and learning about all of the amazing, dynamic cultures and traditions of the world. You can find her teaching on the board, in studios and spaces around the island, working as a Sommelier and Wine Educator on and off Nantucket, singing on stage with her band Otter Control, or traveling the world. She lives for the growth and awareness that is gained through travel. Frances is honored and grateful to be a part of the Paddle Nantucket team and to share her love of both yoga and Nantucket with this community. Come float and flow with Frances this summer! Meredith Sloan is a compassionate RYT 200 hour yoga instructor, who studied at the Kripalu School of Yoga. Meredith, which in Welsh means “Guardian of the Sea”, is naturally drawn to the ocean. After spending nearly twenty summers on Nantucket, she is excited to bring her Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor (WSI) background to the board. She is looking forward to teaching a transformative practice that empowers students to live their happiest lives, both on and off the board. Never underestimate the healing powers of the ocean!
Seana Zelazo comes to Paddle Nantucket with a solid background in sport, in particular, marathon running. As an athlete, Seana competed collegiately and post collegiately. Seana found paddle surfing later in life, but when she did, she fell madly in love with it. The connection to the ocean through sport is what captivated her with stand up paddle boarding. As a psychotherapist, massage therapist, intuitive healer, Life Coach, and Paddlefit coach, she combines her strengths to share her enthusiasm for paddle boarding with as many people as she can because she sees clearly how fun and empowering being connected with ocean can be, and how it can change your life and help you to heal.
